When I was planning Gelateria Uli, my neighborhood was a constant motivation. I love downtown Los Angeles, and in many ways the gelateria is my love letter to my community. The people that make this place are what keep me going, and it's why my kitchen has a big open window. I want to see you when you walk through the Spring Arcade and to pop out and say when you pop into the shop. As part of an effort to share this experience with more of you, we're hosting DTLA office hours. About once a month, we invite a special guest to talk about their work in our community. You'll meet local leaders of all kinds - people working on key community issues in the creative, civic, business and advocacy worlds. We get together for one hour before work for a casual conversation over coffee and bites. That's it. No agenda. Just community. Come and meet your neighbors, and some of the special folks who make our neighborhood tick. It's our hope that you'll make new friends, learn something, and teach us something too. Our space is limited, so each month, it'll be limited to 12 people. Check here often, or subscribe to our newsletter to stay posted.
